How to Resolve Brother Printer Connected to Wi-Fi but won’t Print Issue?

Steps to follow:

Process: 1 check your print machine is powered in and it doesn’t have any issue

  • If you find your machine’s display blank, it means your machine is OFF or in sleep mode. Press any button and check if it wakes up. If you find the same, then you need to check it is connected to a power source and its buttons are turned ON.
  • It is required to check your LCD screen for any error messages, in case; you face any paper jam or ink/toner empty. If you see an error then troubleshoot to clear an issue indicated.

Process: 2 check the connection to a wireless router or access point

  • You should check your machine’s wireless status by printing its network configuration list and you should confirm that it is connected to proper network SSID.
  • If you find wireless link status OK then move onto a next process 3.
  • If you see that wireless link status indicates an error then move onto process 4.

Process: 3 check the connection between your print machine and computer

  • Check your machine’s IP address by making use of Network Configuration report that you printed earlier. If you find IP address invalid for your network, then move on to its next process to establish a connection.
  • Obtain computer’s IP address:
  • Go to Apple menu and there click “System Preferences” and there click “Network”.
  • Now you can make a note of the IP address.
  • You need to check that you are having the same information there that is given below.

PC IP address: 192.168.1.2

Brother machine IP address: 192.168.1.199

Process: 4 make a wireless connection

  • You need to reset network settings from the factory default and reset your machine back to its factory settings.
  • In order to connect your machine to the wireless network, you need to configure your machine manually.
  • Once your machine is connected to the network then repeat this process number 2 and check by printing a test page.
